Top 10 Movies of the 2000s (Updated)

The following is my list of the Top 10 films of the decade that is currently coming to a close (2000-2009).*

*There is certainly a possibility that some masterpiece is going to come along either released in the waning months of 2009 or that was made earlier in the decade that I had not seen, but I am operating under the assumption that the chances are slim.

2) There Will Be Blood (2007)
3) The 40-Year Old Virgin (2005)
4) Cidade de Deus (2002)

6) Shaun of the Dead (2004)
7) Mulholland Dr. (2001)
8) Le scaphandre et le papillon (2007)
9) Anchor Man: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004)
10) The Incredibles (2004)

Close runners up: Almost Famous (2000), The Dark Knight (2008), The Foot-Fist Way (2006), In Bruges (2008), The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), Match Point (2005).

Shaun of the Dead gets a deserving spot. However, as fun as Anchorman was (the first time around, Will Ferrel), I don't know about putting it ahead of such runner-ups as Dark Knight and Lord of the Rings.
